Someone else has been working on the family of Edward Hubbard Silliman and Sedate "Daisey" Moore, and has posted an ancestry on Rootsweb. The website is here: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=AHN&db=genealogistjap&id=I43419 The website doesn't explain why he was in Texas, and it doesn't show his death, but it shows four children, Edward, Mary, Katherine Louise, and Sedate, and it gives several generations of ancestry that you could check out.
