Kentucky Ridge in Austin Co, TX, is now called Phillipsburg. My grandfather's baptismal record shows he was born in Kentucky Ridge and that was in 1890. Phillipsburg is a very small farming community almost on the Washington Co line. There is a Lutheran Church there now that is in Austin Co but part of the cemetery is in Washington Co. It is off Hwy 36 N from Bellville. You have to look closely for a road sign to see it. There was an article posted at the Lutheran Church in New Wehdem (another very small community) from the Bellville newspaper dated Thursday, March 1, 1990, stating that Phillipsburg was once called Kentucky Ridge.
