Don't know if you are still looking, but it's possible that Clayton was a son of Royal Turrell and his third wife Anna Northrop. Royal was a sibling of John Gardner Turrell who was my 3rd great-grandfather. Royal's parents were Beebe Turrell and Elizabeth Eells.........
