Ah ha! I made one fatal flaw, Terry. It was pointed out yesterday by Professor Andrew Skeen in South Africa. Another cousin. That I had got her name wrong. She is JANE Trench. Not Janet. And was definitely born 0n 24 May 1820. Married James Humphrey St.John, Captain of Royal Artillery (18th Dec 1798 to 25th Feb 1846). All dates from the family bible. Any thoughts? Fergus Neilson.
