Hello, it's me again. I have found a few more tidbits of information that could be useful. I believe he was born in Norwalk, CT in 1777. He may have been a brother of James Jared Tracy of that town, born 1781. Gardiner (sometimes also spelled Gardner) married Catharine Lansing (check out my name!). Perhaps the name Gardiner or Gardner, comes from a maternal ancestor? These are some of the clues I have... Any help appreciated.
