We are purchasing a house built by Peter Sells, who was one of the brothers that owned the Sells Brothers' Circus. I believe they were the largest circus of their time and sold to (then) Bailey circus in 1904 when Peter Sells died. They were based in Columbus Ohio and one part of the family started Dublin (a suburb of Columbus).
There (evidently) are still lots of Sells family in in Columbus. In fact, we are going to be part of a Victorian Village Tour of homes, and one of the ancestors of the Sells is going to be captain of our home! I can't wait to meet him and ask lots of questions.
BTW, the house is nicknamed the Circus House.
I am VERY interested in any information you can give me. We are trying to collect information on the circus and the house.
