I have a page of three photos, evidently copied from a book of Civil War history, that was given to me by a friend some years ago.
One of the images is of a Robert PATTERSON, of the 12th Tennessee Infantry. He looks very young and there is no reference to any location, other than the state of TN.
The caption reads: "...with bowie knife tucked in his belt and a pistol in his hand, Tennessean Robert Patterson went to war. He was private in the 12th Tennessee Infantry and spent much of the war in his home state. In May of 1863, he died there in an army hospital".
If you think you would like a copy of this photo, please contact me at my e-mail address : firstname.lastname@example.org . Please include your postal mailing address in your message.
Though he is no kin of mine, I would like very much for him to be reunited with his Tennessee family.
