I’m not related to any member of this family. 1940 is the last available census at this time. 1880 - Name: Caroline Ligon Age: 71 Birth Year: abt 1809 Birthplace: Virginia Home in 1880: District 1, Tipton, Tennessee Race: Black < < < < < < < < < < < < Gender: Female Relation to Head of House: Sister Marital Status: Widowed < < < < < < < < Father's Birthplace: Virginia Mother's Birthplace: Virginia Occupation: House Keeper Cannot read/write: Ed Patterson 79, does not know where he was born, cannot read or write Caroline Ligon 71, listed as "sister" but parents birthplaces do not match Ed's. Was Caroline a "slave" at one time????? Listed as a "widow"; therefore Ligon is not he maiden name.
