Searching for any info on Mary E. Houston. Born 1808
possibly in Claiborne Co.,TN. Married Hugh Houston and was
in that Co. and later moved to Marshall Co.,MS and still
later to Itawamba Co.,MS. One family tree shows her as
NL (Mary M.) married to Hugh Houston. She had 4 or 5 children, all in MS. Hugh Houston was never shown on 1830
1840-1850 census. He was shown in Claiborne Co.,TN.
Land in Itawamba Co. was given to her as part of her dower.
Land originally deeded to Robert E. Houston. Do not know
the relationship. Any help greatly appreciated. What does
the "N L" denote? Dane Brasfield
