I am a direct descendent of Thomas Creasy b 1827 in KY.
There is a wealth of information on www.rootsweb.com/~tnsumner. There is a story written on Creasy/Graves/Mandrell/Black Families. There is also a picture of Thomas Creasy's daughter Emmaline Creasy, orphanied at nine years old. On this site, scroll down to Family Album, Click on index A-G and Find Creasy, Emmaline (Creasy) Graves. I just this last week took a drive up through the country and visited the four cemeteries where Emmaline Creasy Graves and six of her eight children are buried. It has always been family legend that Emmaline was full or part Cherokee Indian. Does anybody have any information about this. Please reply with any information you have on this line. Thanks.
