Can anyone tell me where I can find birth records from 1890. Grandfather born Columbus, Tennessee. I have been told they were not "required" until 1903 in Tennessee, but some towns did have records. Also that Columbus no longer exits, except as a historical site. Perhaps there are church reconds? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Connie
