I found the following News article in the Atlanta Constitution recently and trying to map which Peter Brakebill
(hopefully father - mother - or spouses name) that would match.

The article reads as follows -

KILLED BY HIS SON-IN-LAW
The Tragedy Growing Out of an Elopement

Knoxville, Tenn., October 23. - Near Rockford, fifteen miles south of Knoxville, this morning, Peter Brakebill, a wealthy farmer, was killed by his son-in-law, Wm. Beal. Brakebill was carrying a basket of corn to feed the hogs. Beal was on horseback on his way to the wheat field, when he and Brakebill renewed a quarrel, which had been progressing several days. Beal got down from his horse and shot at the old man five times with a pistol, two shots taking effect in his abdomen and one in his arm. Brakebill died in a few hours. The son-in-law lived on part of Brakebill's farm. The quarrel originate over family matters. Robert Beal last Sunday married to the grand daughter of Peter Brakebill, the girl eloping with him. Peter Brakebill accused Wm. Beal of bring about the match. They have quarreled over the matter many times since Sunday. After shooting the old man, Beal bade his family farewell and made his escape.

Any information would be appreciated.
