Not sure if this Robert Francis is connected to my Robert Lee (ggfather). The only information we have on him is that he was born in AR in December 1881. He married Clara Wood in Erath Co., TX in 1904. He stated he was raised by a family in AR by the name of Montgomery and he had a half-sister. The family is very heavy into German marriages and townships in the early 1900's, so we are looking for the connection to the German Tinkle side, but could be wrong. Clara Wood and Robert Lee Tinkle had three sons that survived,Robert Harlin, Thomas Ralph, and Earl Rose all born between 1904 and 1912. All were born in Texas. Robert died in TX and Thomas died in Colorado. Thank you for your information. Adds another piece to the puzzle. |
