The Record-Tribune Jackson County KS Thursday July 5, 1906 Eleanor TIMMONS was born in County Carlo, Ireland, August 15, 1841. She came to America with her parents in 1849 and settled in Indiana where in 1856 she was married to Richard CRUISE. In 1856, with her family came to Kansas and settled in Atchison county, where she resided until two years ago when she removed to Los Angeles, Calif, where she lived until her death, June 22, 1906. She was the mother of fourteen children, thirteen of whom are living, one having preceded her in childhood. She was a member of the Catholic church and lived a consistent christian life. Her friends were counted by her acquaintances and no one ever asked aid of her and was refused. The high esteem in which she was held was shown by the many friends who met them at the depot to render any aid needed by the bereaved ones. The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved husband and children in this their hour of great sorrow but they have consolation in the hope of a meeting of the faithful on the bright ressurrection morn.
