I would like to share research on Eli Thorp (b. MA c. 1792) and his second wife, Caroline Perkins (b. VT c. 1827). They married in Illinois, briefly moved to Minnesota (c. 1860), then maybe briefly to Iowa. I believe that they split up as Eli apparently died in Illinois and Caroline appears in the 1880 Kansas census along with all the children --- no mention of Eli.
