My last known ancestor was George Thompson, Sr B: circa 1735 NC and married Lucinda LANGSTON circa 1757 in NC. His father was William Thompson B;abt 1692 in VA where he died 1751. He married Mary CLIFTON. Their son was James Thompson B; abt 1730 in Surry Co, VA. He married Elizabeth SHEARIN abt 1753 in NC. At death of William Thompson in 1751, James migrated to NC with his mother and siblings. James Thompson died 1805 in Warren Co, NC. Some of his siblings went south to Abbeville, SC and others went west to KY and TN then into LA and TX. Does anyone have any knowledge of the Thompsons migration to TN and KY? or the family migration from VA to NC? Any help deeply appreciated. (lobo50@verizon.net)
