The Early Summer 2009 issue of ANTIQUES & FINE ART magazine on p. 157 pictures in an advertisement an excellent c.1844 portrait of young Ardelle Clementine Taylor who was born in 1846 at Willington, CT. She is about two years old in this portrait by the great American portraitist William Matthew Prior. I am scanning this ad in case any of Ms. Taylor's descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Somebody in the family ought to have it--it's too good to be missed by the family. The portrait may not have a lot of genealogical value, but it certainly does have a lot of family and artistic value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above.
