I am trying to determine the parents of my gg grandfather Francis Martin born aroun 1820 who was a shoemaker and lived in Madoc area of Hastings County with his wife Sarah Ann( Freeman, daughter of Simeon Freeman confirmed on her death record and she was born in Sydenham, Frontenac County) My great grandfather George Wesley Martin that married Mary Alice Vardy was born around 1884 or 1887 but was a lot younger than his other siblings. He definitely lists his parents on his marriage license but I am wondering about an adoption or that he may have really been a grandchild. There was a John Francis Martin or Frank Martin married to Nancy Ann Switzer. I am wondering about a connection between these two men.
