I just received the birth certificate for my great-grandfather Edward Thomas STUDLEY. This is the information from the certificate: Registration District: Barton Regis Birth in the sub-district of Saint Philip and Jacob in the city and county of Bristol. When and where born: 14 July 1886 28 Kingsland Road USD Name: Edward Thomas STUDLEY sex: Boy Name and Surname of father: Edward STUDLEY Name, surname and maiden surname of mother: Elizabeth STUDLEY formerly EMERY Occupation of father: Labourer in a Pottery. If anyone has any STUDLEY's in the Bristol area I would love to hear from you. I think Edward and Elizabeth moved to Bristol prior to their son's birth. Would love to hear any idea's on where to search next. I have ordered his parents marriage certificate. Hopefully there will be a clue as to where they were from.
