His parents were Robert Stephenson and Elizabeth Whitley. See below. Also, Logan was NOT their son. Logan Stephenson married their daughter Mary. Logan was a son of James and Sarah (Hall) Stepehnson. James was probable brother of Robert. Robert & Elizabeth were married in Lincoln Co. KY, May 28, 1793. From probate papers: This day Elizabeth Stephenson administratrix of the Estate of Robert Stephenson deceased appeared in court by attorney and filed a petition praying a sale of the real estate of said deceased in order that a fair and equitable division may be had and that citations may issue to the heirs of said deceased in said petition named to show cause if any they can why the prayer of said petition should not be granted. It is therefore ordered that William Wheat & Esther Wheat his wife, Whitley Stephenson , Samuel Wheat & Scintha Wheat his wife, Elliot H. Nixon & Jane Nixon his wife, Logan Stephenson & Mary Stephenson his wife, Thos N. Ming & Susannah Ming his wife, Greenup Stephenson , Freedom Stephenson, William Smith & Sarah Smith his wife, Andrew Stephenson & James Stephenson be cited to be and appear before the judge of this court at the court house in the town of Athens on the 2nd Monday in October next to answer said petition and that Robert Austin Jr. be appointed guardian of Andrew & James Stephenson Infants under twenty one years to answer and defend them against said petition and it appearing to the court that Sinthia Wheat, Susannah Ming, Greenup Stephenson & Freedom Stephenson are not residents of this state. It is ordered that a copy of this order be published in some news paper printed in this state for four weeks successively Samuel and Cynthia Stephenson/Stinson Wheat were in Washington County, Arkansas. Thomas N and Susannah Stephenson/Stinson Ming were in Callaway County, Missouri. Greenup Stephenson/Stinson was still in Limestone County, Alabama. He was married to Malinda Jane Perry in Rutherford County, Tennessee, 1833. Freedom Stephenson/Stinson was in Calloway County, Missouri with his wife, Aletha Brunson Stephenson/Stinson.
