Mary Ann, You made my year, my month, and my day! All of my life I've heard of the Stender family! My aunt spoke often and fondly of Rosina and Alma Stender, etc! Yes, my Bredenbergs were from Rechtenfleth/Sandstedt, GER as were your Stender family! I have a copy of my grandparent's, Juliana Dorothea Klenke and John Henry Bredenberg, wedding anouncement in the Charleston paper among those listed attending were F. W. Stender!......Also, I have a list of those that sent my mother and father wedding gifts and here I find listed Alma Stender, etc! So, yes, indeed I know who you are! My John Jurgen Bredenberg came to Charleston in 1853. I have never been able to find the boat that they came on and the exact date of arrival. I am simply thrilled that you found me!
