Hello I just started researching but I know my line came from Stewart Co. Tenn. in the early 1900's to the Isley/Dawson Springs area in Ky..My gGrandfather was George Steeley, Grandfather John Calvin Richard Steeley,Father Calvin Steeley. I know I have relatives in Nashville and my gGrandfather was supposed to be full Cherokee.I also have some relatives in Clarksville,Tenn. I have noticed there are a large number of Steeley/Steely in Ok. are any of these Cherokee desandants?
