Hi Its interesting how somethings come into full circle in some ways. Happy to find my Starnes line originates out of Alzey. That line comes from my Father's Mother's side. My Father's Father's line the Strubels's originated out of Albig by Alzey. Even though there was 37 years difference when the Stubel's left Germany. Johann came over with his family in 1748. Now I wonder if there was any interaction between the Strubel's and the Staring's in the past before they both left Germany. But most likely will never know considing the region was plagued by war, corruption, and other problems. Germany not having strong centralized goverment at the time left very little paper trails in tracing families. With the churhes being the best sources. Wish I could go over there to investigate some of the old records but most likely it is something I'll never get to do. Ben Struble
