Re. talking to Catholic/Anglican Priests, Protestant Pastors etc. in Sri Lanka:
I have talked to many Catholic Priests. They want requests in letter form. Even then it is hard to get assistance. I talked to some Priests a number of times because they promise to look into info but don't; they get a bit angry. I had to phone Parisheners to find info. One time a kind Catholic Priest of the Colombo archdioces gave me the phone number of a retired Archbishop that i was looking for. This Archbishop told me to send an e-mail And when i did, he gave me the info i needed.
In Canada Priests are just like everyone else. In Sri Lanka they expect a certain way of addressing and being treated higher. Then they might help.
Protestant/Baptist Pastors have been greatly helpful. They try to go out of their way to help.
