Susan, the Anglican female Orphanage was St Margaret's. It was originally in the Pettah and then shifted to Polwatte, near where St Micheal's and All Angels Church now is.
There is a little bit on the internet including the voyage of the original Sisters from England, and the placing of 4 little orphaned girls in the boarding school.
There may be archives with the Mother Church, St Margaret's, East Grinstead,in England.
