Hi Geoff dont know if this will help but I have quite a few ancestors who were born, married and died in Sri lanka. If you contact the Sri Lankan High commission in London they will send you an application form. For a marriage cerificate, if you know all the details, ie where registered etc the cost is 5GBP, but if you dont know the registration district it is 10GBP. I have just sent off for a couple of cerificates and am anxiously waiting to see if I get anything back. will keep you posted !
