The following was submitted to Rootsweb by Dana Speck: dspeck@bellsouth.net Catherine Emma Speer, (1860 Brandon MS - 1928 Memphis TN) md. Eugene Leon Kersh (1856 Brandon MS - ?) Children: Birdie 1889, Wilmot 1891, Leon 1893, Emma 1895, Mamie 1897 While the dates and name (Speer vs. Speers) are slightly different from what is on the tombstone, this appears to be the family in question. Catherine's father was Edward Alexander Speer, b. 1921 in Alleghany Co., PA. His father was James Augustus Speer. His mother Caroline Grant.
