I am trying to trace the ancestry of Mark Anthony (b 1670? Italy or Amsterdam), and his wife Isabella Hart (b 1680? Virginia or London). They married in Virginia in 1703. It is virtually certain that both were converso Jewish, at least ethnically, with origins in Iberia.

The Anthony (Antonio) family most likely came from Andalusia and left Spain around 1492, to Genoa, then Amsterdam and London, then Virginia around 1700.

The Hart family is less clear. They were possibly from Spain or Portugal, to Amsterdam, to Breslau, to London, to Virginia. Or they may have gone from Iberia to Brazil and then to the Caribbean and then to Virginia.

Does anyone have any information on possible lines of inquiry on these two persons?

Thanks

(Mr.) Lyn Overton
