Thanks again. I am not certain that C. L. Garrison was a bushwhacker. In reading my great grandfather's claim for reimbursement of damages to his home and supplies taken from him, much of it is hard to transcribe so the reference to him may not have been as a bushwhacker. It does say that C. L. Garrison came along with his ----- and while there were fired on by the rebels. He then ------the house burned in-----. Claimant's friends protested at the burning.... Garrison said if claimant could prove him guilty, he would get pay for his houses.

I have enjoyed reading the articles you provided for me.

The following is a place I found a brief biography of C. L. Garrison of Benton Co. MO.
