Hello all!
I will throw in my 2 cents I find the story lines regarding the naming of children of the Civil War to be very interesting.
My great great grandfather was in the 1st Alabama CAV Company L. His son, my great grandfather was born named Uriah Grant Howell. Sometime after his birth, his name was changed to Ulysses Grant Howell.
Happy Day!
