Jo, My great-grandfather and great-grandmother were born in Northumberland Co. His name was William D Snyder, born in Mar. 1849. He married Elizabeth Fahnestock, born about 1854, in 1888. He was married previously (wife unknown) and had a son on 17 Apr 1882, William Henry Snyder, also born in Northumberland Co. They moved to Dauphin Co. before the 1900 census and moved once to Perry Co. and then back again. William and Elizabeth had 5 children, one of whom was my grandmother. I need to see if I can find the marriage license application for him for one or both wives at the courthouse, but I don't know when I can get there. So, that's all I know about their lives in Northumberland. I'd like to find their parents' names. Hope this helps. Are you related to the Snyders too?
