Have you seen the publications that have the biography of Thurston Simmons? He was 4th of 5 children. He left Wayne County NY for Oakland Co MI with mother (after father died) and 3 brothers in 1833, "the two sisters having previously married and preceded them." . He returned to NY one year later, married at age 19 and Nov 1840 left NY again for Livingston Co. MI. Look for Samuel Simmons will that should have been filed 1833 or 1832 in Wayne Co NY. Good Luck
