Michael, following is the information you request. William Riley Shipman was born 25 September 1843 in Henderson Co. NC. He died 27 August 1925 in Crab Creek, Henderson Co. NC He is buried in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetary . Directions - Take Highway 64 West from Hendersonville, seven miles, turn left on Commings Cove Road, go two and one-half miles, turn left on to South Hebron (State Road No. 11711), one-tenth mile to cemetery on left of road. Row #26 It has a militery marker Co. D 60th N. C. Inf. CSA. His wife Manerva Jane Evans Shipman (29 September 1842 - 10 January 1928) is buried beside him. Also his son James P. Shipman (23 Sep 1877-30 Dec 1949. He has five other children but I only know year of birth for them. Was the 60th Regiment part of the 58th which you are putting together? He is the son of Moses Shipman and Nancy Brown. I am not personally related to him but my Kuykendall Family and his Shipman Family have many joined couples over the many generations.
