I kept looking. Several people at World Family Tree, Ancestry.com, suggest that Isaac Shelby, b 1792 in NC, was a son of Rees Shelby. Rees was born in Wales, England, and there is plenty of information concerning him on the message board and the internet. If your information is correct up to this Isaac Shelby, you should have no trouble finding the connections you seek.
