Good afternoon Janis.
I haven't corresponded with you in quite some time and am hoping that you are still at the same address.
I came across your, and Donita's, correspondence while looking for someone else and my eyes focused on the name GUBKA in your post. I had run across the GUBKA's before and once had a GUBKA file, long since lost due to computer malfunctions. But, in the Centerville centennial book, published 1983, is a list of people living in the township in 1880. Here is a listing for the GUBKA's, despite the mis-spelling...
GUPKA , Carl - 31 - farmer - AUS
Catherine (wife) - 18 - keeping house - PRU
Annie (dau) - 1 - none - DAK
Anna (mother) - 68 - none - AUS
The family lived north of Centerville, and east of the cemetery. They may have lived in Lincoln county as the Lincoln/Turner line is about a half mile east of Riverview cemetery.
I hope that this reaches you after all these years...and it is of value. Also, I hope that you are still corresponding with Donita. Let me know. bye, dj
