Maybe someone named in this obit can help with your request. I've read your request re: Fern...interesting to note she isn't mentioned as survivor, or predeceased. Since you know where/when James Price PINNEY died, you might try for his obit....usually archived in the public library

RIVERTON - Memorial services for Riverton resident Mae Alvania Leikam, 81, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Riverton.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in Plainview Cemetery in Big Piney.

She died Sept. 7, 2004, at Riverton Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 24, 1923, in Casper, she was the daughter of Pearl Mae (Sauerwein) and JAMES PRICE PINNEY.

On Dec. 3, 1938, she married Charles Morgan Sanders in Riverton. He preceded her in death in 1961, after 22 years of marriage.

She married Edward Leikam in Thermopolis on Nov. 6, 1967.

A resident of Riverton for 42 years, she had worked as a cashier for several supermarkets and retired a few years ago.

She was a member of the Methodist faith; a 45-year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary; a 28-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary; and a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary. She loved her gardens and flowers, especially her roses; and receiving flowers for her birthday. Other interests included crocheting and fishing.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years of Riverton; son, David Morgan Sanders of Big Piney; six daughters, Nina Pearl Carroll of Thermopolis, Charlene Kay Hindman of Rock Springs, Carolynn Rae Schultz and her husband of Clifton, Colo., Marilynn Mae Dickinson and her husband of Riverton, Sandra Jean Comer and her husband of Elko, Nev., and Patsy Ann Reynolds and her husband of Nampa, Idaho; two stepdaughters, Sandy Luers and Susan Leikam, both of Riverton; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Terry Pinney of Philip, S.D.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her father on Oct. 16, 1995; mother, Pearl Mae Sauerwein; a brother, Bud; a daughter-in-law; a stepson, Ed Leikam; and two grandsons.

Memorials may be made to Senior Citizens, Meals on Wheels, or Home Health Care.

Davis Funeral Home of Riverton is in charge of arrangements.
