Marian R. Stoudt, age 94, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Aberdeen, S.D., and Miesville, Minn., died Nov. 16, 2008.

She was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Miesville to William and Agnes (Nilen) Ruhr, and was the oldest of 11 children. She married Jerome H. Stoudt Feb. 22, 1936, in Duluth, Minn. In Aberdeen, Marian had worked as a receptionist for Dr. Paul Bell and at the Aberdeen Court House, and her greatest joy was working at the Olwin-Angel Department Store. She enjoyed travel, especially in Europe, and cruises, as well as being a fan of Vikings football and Twins baseball. According to her family, she was a kind and gracious lady.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome, in 1996; five brothers, Harold, Joseph, Paul, Kenneth, and Gordon Ruhr; and one sister, Grace Herseth.

She is survived by her son, James (Norma) Stoudt of Bella Vista; daughter, Sandra Wiltfang of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Michael (Sherri) Wiltfang and their daughter Jaedyn, Mark Wiltfang, Vicki (Jim) Lust and their son John, Jayne (Tim) Roby and their sons David and Matthew, Chad Stoudt, Jerome (Megan) Stoudt and their son Asher; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashlyn Haynes, Kyler Blount, and Haylee Blount; brothers, Eugene (Lois) Ruhr and Edwin (Millie) Ruhr; and sisters, Joan Steffenhagen and Marjorie Roland-Pabst.

The funeral service, with Fr. James Perkl officiating will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings, with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. The pallbearers are Jerome Stoudt, Mike Wiltfang, Mark Wiltfang, Cindy Teal, Bob Ruhr, and Bill Ruhr.

Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
