The names you give do not appear in the book "Adam Scott --Master Millwright 1796 -- 1838".
However, the Delaware County, NY website is great. Anyone with Scotts from the Hawick area of Scotland can likely find Scott relatives listed somewhere on this site.
In fact, insofar as the above referenced Adam Scott, he left the Hawick area in the early 1800's as a teenager, staying with relatives in probably Bovina Twsp, Delaware Co., until about May of 1819 when he left for Canada.
The Delaware Co., website indicates there was a Robert Scott in Delaware Co. who in 1802 built a sawmill/gristmill for Matthew Russell, one of the town's first settlers. This is probably who Adam stayed with, learning the millwright trade.
