My dead end is a William Snider who leased a farm in Loudoun county in the 1780s. His will was proven in 1799, leaving wife, Catherine, Sons: William, Jacob, Henry and Peter and daughter Elizabeth Shry. Peter stayed in Loudoun County and died young. His widow, Sarah married a Dawson. Jacob married Mary Caylor and Henry married Elizabeth Hesser. Jacob and Henry and their wifes and children then moved to Fayette County, PA. in 1800. William jr. joined them there and married Sarah Baccus in PA. Then the three brothers moved to Ross County Ohio between 1800 and 1806. William died in Ross County. The part of Ross County where Jacob and Henry lived became Fayette County, Ohio. There were other Sniders and Schneiders in Loudoun, VA and in Southern Ohio, but have yet to connect with any of the others.
