On the internet at the address below is a list of people who came into Philadelphia in 1729 on the ship "Allen" from Rotterdam; it includes 4 Schneiders (incl one married woman). Alexander Mack, founder of the present-day Church of the Brethren also came over on this sailing. Is anybody out there descended from one of these Schneiders (Sniders, Snyders) ??? <http://www.progenealogists.com/palproject/pa/1729allen.htm> 1729 Allen [List 10 A, B, C] Allen Captain: James Craigs/Craigie From: Rotterdam By Way of: Cowes Arrival: Philadelphia, 15 Sep 1729 Christian Schneider Jacob Schneider Mattias Schneider Magdelin I think Mattias may be an ancestor of mine -- just speculation. Has anybody investigated these Schneiders?? |
