I see a newspaper article talking about the slaying of Walter E. Poole Jr,22, 9/23/1967. He was shot in the back and in the back of the head and a vehicle ran over him. There had been a series of murders and this was part of it.
Authorities were looking for Walter E Poole Jr, age 16, whose father died at 5:30 pm Wed. The boy's mother, Sarah Gould, died about two months ago. Walter Sr. is to be interred in the Garden of Memories. He is also survived by sons Edward and Stanley Poole and 3 daughters, Anne, Sally, and Polly, and 2 grands.
Poole- Mary Lucille Poole, d of Lucile Gould and Walter E Poole Sr, d 10/25/1946. Sister of Johnny E, Robert E, Helen C, Annie L, Sally P, Sidney S, and Walter E Jr; niece of Mrs. Helen Lundy, George and Raymond Gould of Mobile, AL; Robert Gould, San Antonio, TX; and Sidney Gould of Ft Myers FL; age 18, a native of Mobile, lived in NO for 10 years. Garden of Memories.
Lucille S Gould, 54, mother of Mrs. Helen Horton of Dallas, TX, Ann, Sally, Junior, Jake, Eddie, and the late Johnny and Mary, sister of Helen, Sidney, and Raymond Gould, 2 grands.
