I am trying to find the parents / siblings of James Henry Hellams (or variant spelling). Born 1824 in SC. Wife - Narcissa South. Lived on the Hill farm near Waterloo. Can find no obvious link to the Hellams around Dials. Recurring family names are Rueben, George, William, James. Could he may be related to the Hallam group out of Pendleton? Yes. Could he be related to the Hellams out of Travelers Rest? Yes. I suspect he is the brother of John O. Hellams buried at Rabun Creek Church, but no proof, as well as of Hasting Hellams. (Some of Henry's children are buried at Rabun.) One researchers thinks he may be the brother of an Elisha Hellams. We have suspicions that his father may have been George, David, or one of the hundreds of John Hellams. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
