Elizabeth Hamilton b. May 1836 d/o Leonard Simpson and Elizabeth O'Barr Hamilton m. Samuel L. Crenshaw. In 1900 she is living in Greenwood Co. with her son, Leonard S. and his wife. Also living with them is her daughter, Lena Everette and granddaughter, Willie B. Everette. In 1910 Elizabeth is living in Pickens Co., Hurricane with Alonzo and Rosa Murphree Galloway listed as "aunt" In 1920, she is living in Knox Co.,TN with her son Leonard again.
She returns to Pickens Co. prior to her death in 1928.
Does anyone know why she is listed as "aunt" in the Galloway/Murphree household? Does anyone know who she was living with at the time of her death?
She is buried at Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery beside her brother, Robert Prioleau Hamilton. I would love to talk to anyone with any information about the Hamiltons. I have a lot of information to share but I would really love to solve the mystery of her relationship to the Galloways or Murphrees.
Please help me!!!
