My Great GrandFather was Joseph Daniel Moore,
His father was John "Richard" Moore. I traced them back from Troup co. Ga. 1880 to Hall co. Ga. 1860, were Richard was married to Elizabeth Martin, they married in 1860 Hall Co. They were in the household under J. Moore and wife Jane. My G-GrandFather J. Daniel Moore was listed as a child under Richard and Elizabeth but he was already 6 years old. His parents Richard and Elizabeth were married that same year.???
I tried to trace them back to 1850 Walhalla S.C. where my grandfather said they were from. The closest match was a Daniel More in Walhalla with kids listed as John and James and other kids. This could be my John "Richard Moore and his brother in Hall Co. Ga. that was listed as J. Moore as head of household. This is the closest I found in 1850, could this be a match? Everywhere else I have found John Richard Moore, he is only listed as Richard Moore. The match with this Daniel More in Walhalla in 1850 was the closest because of the James and John that were close in age with the two in Hall Co. Also this may be where my G- GrandFather Joseph Daniel Moore got his name from, Daniel More. I am stuck at 1850, and if I can get over this hump, I will be back on my way again. please help if you can. Thanks.
