The records of the Big Creek Baptist Church, that's located 1 mile SE of Williamston, contains some interesting stories.
Caesar was a slave who saved enough money to buy his freedom and later bought some land. His land was located above the place where the Rush and Vandiver mill was once located. It's written that Caesar was buried in a field, just to the rear of the old Williamston Female College buildings.
Do you happen to know how I can find Caesar's grave?
