I'm looking for any information on my ggg grandfather, John B. Winfield, who was from North Carolina, but who married a young woman from South Carolina, and I believe it was in the Anderson Co./Greenville area of SC. I don't really know her maiden name, but it might have been Kennedy. Their son, James Kennedy Winfield, was born in about 1812, there in Anderson Co./Greenville, SC area. I'm thinking that maybe that's why they gave him the middle name of "Kennedy" because maybe it was his mother's maiden name. Does it sound logical? Does anybody have any information on these names? Is there anyone who can do a lookup on these people? Thanks for your help. Sue Howard |
