Searching for info on Dr. John C. Hill, born ca. 1836 (SC) died 8 Dec 1895 (Burke Co., GA) married Martha (possibly Carlton or Carlin maybe neither name is correct). The family moved to GA between 1860-1870..children Elizabeth, John, Mary, Martha and (Leonard) Dozier. Upon his death he was returned to SC for burial. Only 1 child (Dozier) appears in later Burke Co., GA records. Past queries suggest the family may have been from the Pendleton District so I am check all three counties..Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens for info.
