The Shearer family I'm researching; John H. Shearer born 1862 in SC, died 1933. Married __??? Mills s/o John Wesley Shearer born 1832, died 1905. Married Louisa Jane Gaines born 1826. s/o Andrew Shearer born ca 1789, died 1872. Married Gallacia/Gallatia __?__ born ca 1806. At his death, they lived in the Rock Mills area of Anderson, Anderson County, SC I am trying to determine the last name of Andrew's wife and the parents of Andrew. He may have been born in the York County area. Any information on these Shearers will be appreciated. I am also interested in the Shirley, Gilreath, Erskine, Clamp, Brock, Capell and several other related families. I am happy to share information. Irene |
