Veteran of Spanish-American and First World Wars Dies at 73

WASHINGTON, April 14 -- Lieut. Col. Arthur Leon Webb, U. S. A., retired, a veteran of the Spanish- American and First World Wars, died yesterday in the Walter Reed Hospital here. His age was 73.
Colonel Webb, who fought in the Cuban campaign and Philippine Insurrection, served for twenty-one months in France, Switzerland and Germany during the First World War. He was retired in 1928.
Born in Kosciusko, Miss., Colonel Webb was graduated from Baylor University Law School. He practiced in Texas and New York, was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court n 1911 and had served as City Attorney of Palestine, Texas, in 1892.
Colonel Webb was a grandson of John D. Boyd, a signer of the United States -- Choctaw Indian Treaty.
Note: Arthur Leon Webb was the son of Robert Berry Webb of Kosciusko. His grandparents were Micajah Webb and Harriet Benson. His great grandparents were Charles Webb and Catherine Stribling of Pendleton / Anderson, South Carolina.
Dorothy Webb Wilcox, who did much research and correspondence with Miss Lizzie Webb of South Carolina, was Arthurís daughter
