Very interesting. I have recently found out that a relative shares Ydna (poss. an Exact match) with a Kaufmann-Ruoff family line and his Kaufmann family also was from the Black Forest - Wurttemberg, Germany region but sailed out of Rotterdam, Holland for SC in 1752. I am having a difficult time however finding out much about these families so far. Thank you for posting your info, it was a help to see that your Ruoff's came from the same area. However our family connection is on the Kaufmann side but we spell it differently.
